Presented Clean Industry Deal
Christophe Pinck, Eu Advisor in Eyde Cluster, finds several good things in the Clean Industry Deal.
But also a couple of major concerns. Thursday he presented the deal at a EU event at Arendal Streetfood.
-There are a lot of goos things in the Clean Industrial Deal, like the real focus on resilience, fundamental raw materials supply and circularity. A couple of major concerns emerge as well though, says EU advisor in the Eyde Cluster, Christophe Pinck, about the presentation of the industrial deal this week.

Common investment
Primarily, he finds a further dependence on national funding- rather than through a real pan european approach - at odds with the need for a strong (circular) single market as Europes economic engine.
-Lets hope more political inolvement from the member states can adress that through a common investment approach, says Pinck.
He also says it´s good that the commission keeps their goals towards 2040, but that their «Omnibus» proposal seems strongly driven by simplifications rather than effect.
Cear structure
He thinks the real potential lies in the harmonization of the complex and overlapping requirements to create a clear structure.
-Watering down the goals will muddy the water and create new problems, he points out.
